Kigali, February 20, 2017 – Airbus will set out its Africa forecast for modern, efficient and environmentally-sustainable commercial airliners and air finance solutions for the continent at the forthcoming Aviation Africa 2017 summit to be held here on 22-23 February 2017.

The Airbus delegation will be led by its Vice President for Africa & Indian Ocean, Hadi Akoum, who will be addressing the summit on Airbus’s strategy and initiatives

There are currently 228 Airbus commercial jetliners flying with 32 operators in Africa. Since July 2010, Airbus has welcomed 26 new African operators to its family.  In addition, more than 90 Airbus military airlifters and special missions’ aircraft are in service with African air forces and 625 Airbus helicopters are flown by civilian, para-public and military operators throughout the continent.
